I had some grand plans for this fall but illness torpedoed them all. I WAS going to Wyoming on a 2 week wilderness shoot but it has been put on hold. More to follow on that. For now I'm content to revisit some of my favorite wildlife and landscape shots. Oh yeah....almost forgot. Look for James Andrews new book on Amazon.com about living off the grid. It has some of my photos in it....Great guy....Great book.
Speaking of one of my favorites, I took this gem last year when the Aspens were at peak color. This was taken in South Dakota near the Wyoming line, west of Spearfish SD. I had a week in South Dakota, where I was supposed to be attending a seminar on photography, but I busted loose and went out on my own (more than once). I was traveling down this dirt road on my way to a ghost town I'd read about and came across this stand of Aspen trees and a makeshift corral. The light was perfect so I stopped and set up my tripod and did a timed exposure. It turned out to be one of my favorites of the trip, although I have many. Taken with my Nikon D810 F/11 1/50 sec. ISO 64.
I'll have more of my adventures in and around Spearfish. Hope you enjoy my BLOG....Kev
